This is a basic and claassic chocolate ice cream recipe.


Serves 8-10

1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder



2/3 cup white sugar



1/2 cup packed brown sugar



1 1/2 cups whole milk



3 1/4 cups heavy cream



1 tablespoon vanilla extract



1 tablespoon instant espresso powder (optional)


  1. In a large bowl, mix cocao, sugars, and milk until sugars are almost all dissolved.
  2. Add the heavy cream and the vanilla and mix until incorporated.
  3. Refridgerate for at least 1 hour.
  4. Use ice cream base in your ice cream maker according to manuffacturer directions.

TIP:

Use the best quality cocoa you can find!
